The Whiting Financial Services Wellington Men's Under 19 team have finished third at the National Under 19 tournament at the New Zealand Cricket High Performance Centre in Lincoln after two losses in the final two matches of the competition.
Round 1 | v Central Districts
Wellington made a slow start to the tournament in a high-scoring affair against Central Districts. Batting first, Central Districts made an imposing 256 from their 50 overs, and despite strong knocks from Sam French (89) and Tim Robinson (68) Wellington fell just 14 runs of their target.

Round 2 | v Canterbury
Wellington registered their first win of the tournament with a big 83 run win over Canterbury on day two. Tim Robinson continued his good start to the competition with the bat with 68, alongside Caleb Montague who made 62. The bowlers backed up the batting performance bowling Canterbury out for just 128 to take a 83 run win.

Round 3 | v Northern Districts
Wellington chased down Northern Districts' 216 in a final over thriller on Day 3. Tim Robinson registered his third half centrury on the bounce with 59 before Peter Bonar (75) saw the team home to send them joint top of the ladder at the halfway mark of the competition.

Round 4 | v Otago
Tim Robinson's strong tournament form continued as his unbeaten 71 helped Wellington chase down Otago's 118 in a rain affected match which was shortened to 26 overs per side. Earlier Matt Scoble took 3-15 from his four overs to restrict the Otago side to a small total. The win takes Wellingto to the top of the competition ladder heading into the T20 matches.

Round 5 | v Auckland
It was yet another half century from Tim Robinson and a five-wicket bag to Jacob Vandenerg that helped Wellington to a fourth win on the bounce against Auckland in the opening T20 match of the competition. Batting first Auckland made 139, but another solid knock from Robinson, with some good help from Micah Conroy helped Wellington chase down the target with a wicket to spare.

Round 6 | v Central Districts
Wellington fell to a tough six wicket loss to Central Districts in the second T20 match of the competition. Batting first the side made a respectable 150 but the Central Districts side were strong in response with all players getting starts to see them home with an over to spare.

Round 7 | v Auckland
Wellington ended the tournament with a tough three wicket loss to Auckland in a low-scoring affair. Batting first the side never really got going posting 124 before Auckland chased it down in the final over.

The tournament was a hugely successful one for Tim Robinson who finsihed as the competition's leading runscorer with 325 runs. Three bowlers finsihed in the top 10 wicket-takers - Matt Scoble ninth, Baahul Gandhi sixth and Jakob Vandenberg third.
