KIRIKITI

Kirikiti (Samoan cricket) has a long history of play in Wellington dating back to the 1980’s.

2024/25 is a big year for the sport, which will include the first season of a Wellington Kirikiti Club Competition and College Kirikiti Festival. See below for ways to get involved!




KIRIKITI PREMIER LEAGUE

In partnership with the Wellington Samoa Kirikiti Association (WSKA) & Healthy Families Hutt Valley, we bring you the Kirikiti Premier League (KPL)! The inaugural season starts Friday 1st November 2024, 6pm at Fraser Park. Both female & male competitions will run with a round robin & then finals to determine the champions.

Dates: Friday nights (Novembers 1st - December 20th 2024

Times: 6pm starts

Location: Fraser Park

Cost: Team entry fees are $250. This is due via bank transfer no later than October 15th & is required to secure your teams competition entry.

KIRIKITI COLLEGE FESTIVAL

Wellington Sāmoa Kirikiti Association, College Sport Wellington & Cricket Wellington are excited to bring you the inaugural Kirikiti College Festival 2025! The day will be a celebration of language & culture through the traditional Samoan sport of Kirikiti. 

Registrations will be available for all college aged mixed, boys & girls teams

KILIKITI AT THE BASIN

Kilikiti at The Basin is back! Join us on Saturday 1 March 2025 for an action packed day full of Kilikiti games, give it a go sessions for kids, cultural performances & delicious pacific foods.

The Filimalae Champ of Champs is on 26, 27, 28 December at Fraser Park.
