Young Leaders 2024/25 is open to both female and male cricketers.
Cricket Wellington is committed to providing opportunities for young people to serve in cricket leadership positions. Young Leaders is a seasonal youth leadership programme that supports youth cricketers to develop their leadership and sports delivery skills, offers opportunities to volunteer and be involved in their community, and have mentoring sessions with professional players, both current and past. This summer will be the fifth season of Young Leaders, and to date 60 young women and 15 young men have graduated the programme.
By the end of the programme you will have :
- Developed confidence and competence in a range of leadership behaviours
- Volunteered in a variety of leadership roles in your local community
- Gained access to positive and knowledgeable mentors
- Receive ongoing support to continue to build on your leadership journey
