Admark Print Wellington U19 women’s head coach Deepak Joon has selected an 18-strong training squad in preparation for the 2020/21 season.
The squad incorporates a mix of talented new faces, as well as a number of experienced U19 players and players who have made the step up to the Wellington Blaze squad.
Tash Codyre, and Georgia Plimmer add experience to the squad, while Blaze rookies Antonia Hamilton and Jamie Mason-Jones will be looking to build on their Blaze experiences.
“This is a really good mix of young and enthusiastic players along with a few experienced U19 players,” said head coach Deepak Joon.
"For the coaching staff, our priority will be to give our players an environment where players learn and develop through fun and enjoyment.
“We have 10 weeks of spring training alongside a few practice matches, before we select the final squad.
“Our eyes are on winning the National Tournament starting early January and we’ll also have the 2021 U19 Women's World Cup in the back of our minds and we will be working hard to ensure there’s a strong Wellington presence in that New Zealand team.”
