COVID-19 | Wellington School of Cricket update

UPDATE AT MIDDAY | TUESDAY 18 AUGUST, 2020

Following the announcement made by the Prime Minister on Friday evening, we will stay at Level 2 until 26th August. Based on this decision, revisions have been made by New Zealand Cricket to indoor facility use at Level 2.

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO WSC

Please note Cricket Wellington will be monitoring the facilities, and failure to comply with these changes may result in memberships being suspended, cancelled or the hirer being banned from the facility.

  • All contact tracing procedures must be completed – please input all participants details via Book-a-Net, and every individual entering the facility must also scan in via a QR code on the Government or Rippl contact tracing app.
  • Physical distancing is a critical part of limiting the potential for transmission – distancing of 1m must be adhered to at WSC.
  • No more than 5-6 players should be in a net at any one time (including coaches and the batter).
  • All bowling machines will be available to use from Wednesday onwards, however they must be cleaned down with disinfectant wipes after use. Please ensure you dispose of wipes into the bins provided, and not on the floor. Users must also disinfect their bowling machine balls after use.
  • Hand sanitiser will be located around the facilities – please use upon entry and exit of the facility. Please sneeze and cough into your elbow.
  • Where possible, please minimise sharing balls and equipment – under no circumstance should balls be polished or shined with saliva.
  • If you're unwell, stay home and if you have symptoms of cold or flu call your doctor or Healthline and get advice about being tested. If you have been told to self-isolate you must do so immediately.
