Cricket Wellington is thrilled to announce its upcoming all-inclusive community event at the Cello Basin Reserve. The event, which takes place on the 1st of April, is open to all everyone, and aims to celebrate Wellington's diverse and multicultural community.
The event will feature eight ethnic food stalls, showcasing delicious cuisine from Colombian, Syrian and Somalian communities, among others. The New Zealand Cricket Museum will also be open on the day, offering an opportunity to explore the rich history of cricket in New Zealand.
According to Cricket Wellington CEO Cam Mitchell, the event is about bringing communities together and creating a sense of inclusivity. "At Cricket Wellington, we believe that sport has the power to unite communities and bring people together," Mitchell said. "We are excited to host this event, which celebrates the diversity and richness of Wellington's community. We want everyone to feel welcome and included in our celebration."

"We understand that transportation can be a barrier for some members of the community, so we are pleased to offer free buses to make the event accessible to everyone," Mitchell said.
The event will take place on the Saturday 1 April, between 11am and 2pm at the Cello Basin Reserve. Cricket Wellington encourages all members of the community to attend and celebrate the diversity and inclusivity of Wellington's community.
