The Firebirds and Blaze travel to Christchurch with one change each for their Dream 11 Super Smash clash on New Year’s Day with Canterbury.
WHITE FERNS captain, Sophie Devine, rejoins the Blaze after not being in the squad for the first two rounds. With this addition, the Blaze are at full strength with all their international players in the fold.
Adam Milne is fighting injury and will not travel with the Firebirds, with allrounder Luke Georgeson taking his place in the squad.
Firebirds
The undefeated Firebirds head into Christchurch with their tails up, taking two from two to start the Dream 11 Super Smash campaign. With both wins coming in the last over, the Firebirds are becoming well-accustomed to the high heart rates of T20.
With Adam Milne out, the Firebirds will dip into their squad depth to replace him, with both Iain McPeake, previously the 12th man, and new addition Luke Georgeson options to replace Milne.
Peter Younghusband and the Firebirds continue their 2022/23 Dream 11 Super Smash campaign on January 1st at Hagley Oval.
BLAZE
The Wellington Blaze continue their hot form with a 2-0 start this season, winning both games comfortably. As they travel to Christchurch the Blaze add another key component to a winning season.
The Blaze welcome back Sophie Devine, WHITE FERNS captain, to the team in the place of Natasha Codyre.
Devine brings a wealth of talent and experience to a Blaze side who are already at the top of the ladder, giving the Blaze their full set of international players.
The Wellington Blaze play the second half of the double-header, with play starting at 5:30pm on Sunday, January 1st streaming live on Spark Sport.
