Girls Soft Ball Y2-4
Girls in school years 2-4 can now play Girls Only Soft Ball cricket for their club. The league plays on Sunday mornings during the cricket season in a 6 a side format, with games taking 45 minutes to 1 hour. To find your local club, please click here
Girls Soft Ball Y5-8
The Girls Soft Ball grade is soft ball cricket for girls in school years five to eight. The league plays on Sunday during the cricket season. Pairs cricket format is played and games take approximately 90 minutes. To find your local club, please click here.
Please note: girls can play both Saturday morning cricket and Girls Soft Ball cricket.
Girls Hard Ball Y6+
The Girls Hard Ball grade is for girls from school year 6 and up and is an entry, development grade for those girls who are new to hardball cricket, or who are less confident hardball players. It is 8 a side and the teams will play 16 over pairs cricket and T20 cricket. Games are on Saturday afternoons. Find your local club and register for a team here.

Premier Girls Hard Ball
Premier Girls Hard Ball is our top girls hard ball grade for girls who have previously played hardball cricket in the Mixed Junior grades, in the Girls Hardball grades, or a combination of both, OR are confident new cricketers. This grade is for players who are still developing their skills and are not old enough, or not emotionally or physically ready to play with women in the Senior grades. The teams are 9 a side and will play T20 and T30 formats with no grace period but batting retirements will still be in place. This grade is for school year 7 and up. Games are on Saturday afternoons. Girls Smash
This free, six-week programme runs afterschool during School Term 4 and Term 1 and is for girls in school years three to eight.
Girls Smash is a social, fun-filled introduction to cricket where girls will learn fundamental movements and teamwork skills, as well as have an opportunity to make new friends in a safe environment. Girls Smash is $30 per participant and all equipment is provided. All registered players receive a free Girls Smash T-shirt.
In term 1 of 2025 Girls Smash will be run as a six a side, six-week competition for school teams. Individual registrations will be accepted if your school is not entering a team.
The hubs are as follows:
Monday 4:00-5:00pm @ Wakefield Park field Year 3/4, 5/6
Monday 4:00-5:00pm @ Kelburn Park Year 7/8
Monday 4:00- 5:00pm @ Alex Moore Park 3/4, 5/6, 7/8
Tuesday 4:00- 5:00pm @ Fraser Park Year 3/4, 5/6, 7/8
The competition will start on the week commencing February 17th and run until March 25th.
